Singapore | 9 September 2026

Konica Minolta Business Solutions Asia has been named a leader in the IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Laser Production Printers 2026 Vendor Assessment (Doc #EUR154121926, May 2026).

Strong automation capabilities
The IDC MarketScape highlighted Konica Minolta’s strengths in: automation capabilities ensuring high print quality and consistency, media versatility and application range, end-to-end workflow solution, and continuous improvements based on customers’ feedback.

IDC MarketScape
“Konica Minolta provides support for a wide range of substrates, heavier stocks, and diverse print applications. Konica Minolta stands out in its strong integration between workflow, automation, and finishing. The company's real strength lies not just in having workflow software or finishing options but also in how tightly they are integrated to create a low-touch, highly automated production environment.”

How Konica Minolta implements AI into the AQA secure server to inspect test charts remotely, provide its own diagnosis, and build a predictive maintenance profile for each customer engine, ultimately helping reduce overall service calls, especially in less skilled customer environments, was emphasised too.

Dedication to sustainability
The IDC MarketScape also acknowledged Konica Minolta’s strong dedication to sustainability: “Konica Minolta addresses sustainability in production printing through energy-efficient system design, resource conservation, and circular economy programs.” Furthermore, “The company has achieved significant improvements in the past two years. The most important ones include the introduction of IQ-601 for improved color measurement capabilities and ease of use, the development of AQA to improve the automatic correction of print defects, AQA integration with Machine Condition Monitoring to automatically and remotely diagnose service issues, and the introduction of IM-104/105 media sensors for automatic paper detection.”

Konica Minolta’s speciality applications using white toner was also highlighted by the IDC MarketScape which stated “clients that seek premium specialty applications using white toner should also consider Konica Minolta's offering; the C14010S and C12010S are especially relevant when the buyer wants to move beyond standard CMYK and create higher-margin work.”

Mr Francis Chua, General Manager, Regional Sales and Marketing HQ, Konica Minolta Business Solutions Asia, said:

“Asia’s print industry holds significant opportunities for businesses ready to evolve. This recognition by IDC MarketScape strengthens our resolve to help customers move forward with confidence by automating production, expanding their capabilities and opening doors to higher value applications. Our ambition is to be their trusted partner at every stage of that journey.”
